What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are a highly effective anti-ageing treatment used to restore lost volume to several areas of the face as well as to smooth the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and other common signs of ageing on the skin.

MD codes™

How do we decide on the best course of treatment for you? Research has concluded that there are 7 main types of facial shape, meaning that something extraordinary is needed to address all of the unique ageing concerns that our experts encounter on a day-to-day basis. This is why we favour Juvéderm® and draw on the fact that its many formulations can be adapted to combat a variety of common hangups, from facial laxity through to skin that is just generally dry, dull and bereft of its glow. Our use of Juvéderm® is further aided by our training with MD codes™, a set of simple and effective injection patterns that bring greater sophistication to our aesthetic treatment plans. Created by world-renowned Brazilian plastic surgeon Dr Mauricio de Maio in 2015, MD codes™ are used to divide the face into defined units or areas, such as the cheeks, lips and chin. From here, a set pattern of sequence of injection points is laid out, based on the anatomy of the face. All our staff are fully trained in how to use MD codes and have an in-depth understanding of the guidance around each of these, utilising this knowledge to help create the most desirable facial architecture for each individual face. The MD codes™ were specifically created for use with Juvéderm® products.
