Maintaining a complexion that is healthy and in good condition requires a considerate skincare routine. This should take place on a daily basis, and requires creams and / or serums that cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate and nourish the skin. This regime is undertaken through a range of products that need to be suitable for your skin type, with the ability to address any presenting concerns.

At Face Medical we recommend the ZO Skin Health skincare range, a selection of advanced skincare products that are scientifically formulated to improve skin health. Enhancing the results from skincare products can be produced through the support of an in-clinic treatment. Our Hydrofacial treatment or any of our bespoke ZO Skin Health facials are popular skin rejuvenating treatments that work incredibly well alongside your regular at-home routine.

Face Medical has a range of ZO Skin Health facials available, and a consultation will help us to decide which one is most suitable for you. As well as one of our practitioners taking a look at your skin, we’ll also use the Observ Skin Scanner for an in-depth view of the deeper layers. In addition, this comprehensive assessment will help to establish if you are also a suitable candidate for the Hydrofacial. Our consultation will require details of your general health and medical history. By combining the Hydrofacial with one of our Zo Skin Health Facials we can enhance the overall results. We take into consideration the outcome you are looking to achieve, but our main aim is to produce a clear, bright and radiant appearance.

Individual Treatment Programme

The Hydrofacial offers deep cleansing and exfoliation in preparation for your specific ZO facial. This procedure will also work to unblock the pores and begin to nourish the skin. The ZO Skin Health facials available at Face Medical include: ZO Anti-ageing Facial - the application of a ZO face peel, massage and masque can increase hydration and elasticity, as well as strengthening the internal structure; ZO Acne & Oil Control Facial - complementing this facial with Dermalux LED enables the reduction of enlarged pores and regulates the production of oil for fewer and less severe breakouts; ZO Skin Brightening Facial - healthy glowing skin can become even brighter through the regenerative effects of Dermalux LED Light Therapy; ZO Ultra Hydration Facial - increased hydration is often key when enhancing the skin’s condition and even for creating smoother skin with softer wrinkles. During this facial we include the application of a ZO Aloe Hydra Massage Gel; ZO Facial for Redness - including ZO’s redness cream and Dermalux LED within this facial can calm inflammation; ZO Radiant Skin - a course of Dermalux LED light therapy and a Daily Skincare Program Kit can ensure your skin is in optimal health for a truly vibrant appearance; ZO Stimulator Peel - combining a chemical peel with a targeted skin health approach we can strengthen the internal structure as well as improve the superficial layers through a gentle resurfacing and regeneration of skin cells;

Further Advice

Whichever bespoke facial is recommended for you, they are designed to be kind on the skin. Therefore they are low risk and produce little to no downtime or side effects. However, this will be discussed at the consultation and any potential after effects will be explained, including: facial redness, sensitive skin and flaking (with peels). Each individual facial has a different purpose in mind which means the results will vary according to your recommended procedure. The main aim is to improve the tone and texture of the skin, as well as strengthening the structure (both inside and out) for a youthful and radiant appearance.

With each facial immediate results for glowing skin are to be expected. Other improvements may develop over the following days or weeks, which will be advised at the consultation.

Is this treatment suitable for me?

Which facial is suitable for you will be determined at the pre-treatment assessment. Typically a facial will improve conditions such as: acne, lines and wrinkles, dull skin, dryness, pigmentation (age spots), sun damage, rosacea and skin laxity.

As they are recommended according to your specific concerns, they are considered a safe low risk option for rejuvenating the skin. Our comprehensive skin analysis will help to ensure the recommended facial is suitable for you.
