Procedure
The great thing about dermal fillers is that they are non-permanent, lasting between 6 months to a year. Your body is able to absorb the gel naturally over time, which means that you aren’t stuck with the results if, by chance, you aren’t entirely satisfied. The overall look that we can achieve with dermal fillers is a very natural, subtle one that most patients are thrilled with, often returning for regular repeat treatments. The treatment itself usually takes up to 30 minutes or less as one of our highly trained and experienced practitioners administers highly precise amounts of filler through a very fine needle into the target area beneath the eye. Most patients experience little to no pain at all thanks to the size of the needle and the local anaesthetic solution within the fillers themselves.
Aftercare
Following your procedure, we will provide with the best aftercare advice to look after your fillers, but don’t hesitate to ask any questions that you may have at any stage. In general, try not to agitate the area until the fillers have properly settled. During this time, it’s not uncommon to experience slight redness, swelling and perhaps bruising, but this will subside in no time, usually lasting around 1-2 days. Some patients also experience a mild burning sensation, but as with the other side effects, this will calm down soon after your treatment. Any and all advice that we offer is to help you get the most out of your treatment and the results, so be sure to follow your aftercare regime carefully.
