The Procedure
Your jawline is a key factor in defining the entire shape of the face, and this is something we bear in mind when performing jawline sculpting procedures in order to ensure natural-looking results than enhance your appearance rather than offering dramatic alterations. Juvederm Volux provides an immediate solution to contouring the jawline. Like all fillers, Juvederm volux is a gel made up of hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that occurs naturally within the body. However, Juvederm Volux contains a higher concentration of HA for a more defined contour. This is injected deep into the skin in a series of injections, producing smooth, natural-looking results.
Aftercare
There is very little downtime associated with jawline sculpting with Juvederm Volux, and most patients can return to their usual routine immediately post-procedure. However, the aftercare advice of the Face Medical team should be adhered to in order to ensure the best possible results. Patients should avoid extreme temperatures, alcohol, and makeup for around 24 hours. Side effects may include bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, and itching in the area. However, this should subside quickly, and more severe side effects are rare. The healing process takes between 3 and 4 weeks, after which optimal results will be evident, and can last up to 24 months as the HA is broken down and absorbed by the body, though this is different for each patient. Repeat treatment is necessary to maintain results.
