What happens during Dermalux LED Therapy?
When you arrive at Face Medical Clinic for your Dermalux LED phototherapy treatment, we will gently cleanse your skin, ensuring we remove any sunscreen, makeup and skincare products; this is necessary to allow the beneficial light waves to penetrate your skin. Then we exfoliate your skin to remove the dead skin cells that are known to reflect the light. We may apply a topical serum to enhance results in some cases.
Protective eyewear is required to be worn by the patient in order to protect your eyes from the LED lights. For 20-30 minutes, you can relax while a special overhead panel directs light waves onto your skin. The treatment is completely pain-free, and will give your skin a natural, glowing boost.
When will I see results?
With LED therapy, the results are visible immediately. After just one treatment, you will notice that your skin looks really hydrated, naturally radiant, and any redness should be calmed.
For longer lasting results, people may need several sessions as opposed to a single “skin pick-me-up session”. Treatments taken in quick succession will achieve optimum results, and top-up treatments will likely be recommended.
Will I need to take time off after my treatment?
There is no downtime, so no, you won’t need to take any time off after your treatment!
How long should the results from Dermalux LED Therapy last?
The results of Dermalux™ LED phototherapy can last for several months when a patient has undergone treatment course. This said, it is always advised to have top-up treatments to maintain results. As light therapy does not harm the skin, there is no limit to the amount of treatments you can have.
How much will Dermalux LED treatment cost ?
Dermalux LED treatment here at Face Medical Clinic will cost £35 for a single treatment or £250 for a course of ten which we recommend to gain the best results.
