What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an injectable bio-remodelling treatment that contains the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available.
How does Profhilo work?
Profhilo treatment combines the benefits of an injectable moisturiser, hyaluronic acid, with an ability to stimulate new collagen and elastin production in the skin. Profhilo works with the body to ensure natural results.
Increased collagen and elastin production
In our youth, our skin has high levels of collagen and elastin, which make it smooth, firm, and elastic. As we age, collagen and elastin production diminishes, and we start to notice fine lines and wrinkles, a coarser skin texture and skin laxity.
Profhilo injections stimulate fibroblasts in the deep layers of the skin, promoting collagen and elastin production and restoring skin elasticity, smoothness and radiance.
Deep hydration with hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. The highly purified slow-release hyaluronic acid used in Profhilo provides a surge of intense hydration, making the skin look plumper and glowing with health.

Where can I have Profhilo treatment?
Our Rochdale patients love the rejuvenating effects of Profhilo on the face, neck, arms, knees, and hands.
When will I see the first results of my treatment?
Some patients notice an improvement after their initial treatment, but it may take a month or longer for the benefits to develop fully. After a few months, you will notice that your skin has a more youthful appearance and a radiant glow.
Profhilo treatment delivers natural-looking results that subtly improve skin texture and overall skin quality without altering your facial contours.
Will I need any downtime?
There is no recovery period after Profhilo treatment. You may experience mild swelling or tenderness at the injection sites, but this will soon subside.
How long does Profhilo treatment take, and how many sessions will I need?
Treatment takes around 30 minutes.
A short course of 2 or 3 treatments, with 4 weeks between treatments, is usually recommended for optimal results.
How long do the benefits of Profhilo last?
The results of your treatment will last for up to 6 months as new collagen and elastin continue to boost the overall quality of your skin.
Many of our Rochdale patients choose to have maintenance treatments every 6 months or so to maintain the beauty of their skin.
Is Profhilo treatment safe?
Profhilo treatment is very safe and has regulatory approvals from the MHRA and the FDA.
However, there are some patients for whom Profhilo is not recommended. These include women who are pregnant or breastfeeding and anyone with a skin infection.
Your suitability for this treatment will be assessed at your initial consultation.
